You ask any guy between the ages of 18 and 35 what his top five favourite movies of all time are and odds are excellent that Scarface (1983) would show up on that list. You also ask this guy (because you're bored and what else do you have to do, really) if he can quote anything from this movie and he inevitably will warble out Tony Montana's 'Bad Guy' monologue in the worst Cuban accent ever imagined. But you did ask, didn't you?
Long before the world knew him as Mr. Conspiracy Theorist Extra-ordinaire, Oliver 'JFK' Stone wrote the screenplay for Scarface. Rumour has it, he was also fighting his way through a very traumatic cocaine addiction during the writing of this film as well. Now that is dedication to your craft folks.
If you're like me (and what a frightening thought that is) and you like the pop music, you have probably heard of the group Blink 182. With such musical hits as 'All the small things' and 'What's my age again?' the band has proven itself an asset to the pop community. Not to mention, the guys have shown their assets to the entire free world on more than one occasion. What the heckfire has this got to do with the movie? Just this. The band has said that they chose their name, specifically the 182, for the number of times Al Pacino says a particular naughty word. It's a safe bet that the guys in the band have mastered their own incredibly bad Cuban accents. Jou know whut I'm talkin bout mahn??
