Did you know that the K in J.K Rowling is not in fact her middle name? Actually the Harry Potter author took the K for her grandmother Kathleen. The reason being, when the first book was being published, the execs at the publishing house asked her to use her first initials instead of her given name of Joanne. Why, you ask? Well, numbers, it always goes back to the numbers. The powers that be thought that young boys wouldn’t be so eager
to read a book about a young wizard that had been written by a woman.
And who’s to say they were wrong. As of November 2002 the Harry Potter book franchise has sold over 175,000,000 copies, and is printed in over 200 languages.

If you still have yet to see the film, don’t rush out of the theatre when the credits start rolling. There is a short scene after the credits (which run a lengthy ten minutes) where you learn the fate of one of the lead characters in the film.
