And indeed he was. Arnold Schwarzenegger appeared in the next two installments of The Terminator films, although as the hero instead of the villain.
Perhaps in the clearest example of irony EVER, producers had been considering O.J Simpson in the lead role of the Terminator but feared he would be considered "too nice" to be taken seriously as a cold-blooded killer.
One afternoon during a break in filming, Schwarzenegger went into a restaurant in downtown L.A. to get some lunch and realized all too late that he was still in Terminator makeup - with a missing eye, exposed jawbone and burned flesh.
