You must remember it. The scene in the deli, where Sally demonstrates just how easy it is to fake…well, “it”. To keep this relatively PG, I’ll just leave it at that. If you’ve seen the film then you know what I’m talking about. What you may not know is that in order to prepare Meg Ryan for the scene, Rob Reiner took it upon himself to demonstrate what he wanted, screams and all. It’s what a good director does afterall. However, while he was “faking” it in front of Meg and Billy, he was also “faking it” in front of his own mother. The woman who says “I’ll have what she’s having” after Meg’s performance, is Rob Reiner’s mother. That’s a story for a family therapy session if I ever heard one.

In one particular scene, you can see Harry reading Stephen King’s novel, Misery. This would inevitably be Rob Reiner’s next film project. That Meathead, always planning ahead.
